1. This assessment task was to create a protest anthology for
something we are strongly fighting for or against. I think the point of this
assignment was to perhaps teach us students that fighting for what we believe
in is vital, whether it's the norm or not. Along with this, we're being taught
to use evidence to back our argument through poetry, videos, pictures,
interviews, opinions, surveys, petitions etc.
2. My foreword, I believe, is successful as it’s very descriptive of
the issues with plenty of facts that gives the audience freedom to choose
whether they’re for or against the issue. I also think my visual text (which
consists of a few videos) is strong as it shows pictures and film of the
dredging and has people telling their story and their opinion towards the
subject.
3. My poem is not as strong as it could be as I couldn’t find a poem that is specifically about The Great Barrier Reef getting damaged due to Coal Mining. And instead I had to find a poem just on pollution and how it’s ruining the planet. Other than this my responses were quite strong and convincing, I believe.
4. Next time when I am preparing my assessment I’ll decide what format I’ll present my assignment in more carefully, as I chose Blogspot and it’s difficult as I can’t use it on the school server and it was annoying to use.
